Description:
A long days walk climbing
one of the most famous walks in the Lake District, from
Glenridding the route climbs to Birkhouse Moor before
continuing along the wonderful Striding Edge ridge to
climb to the summit of Hllvellyn before descending along
Swirral Edge to Catstycam, we will then descend to Glenridding
Beck and follow the track through Greenside Mines back
to Glenridding.

Directions:
By Road:
From Keswick, leave the A66 road at Troutbeck, between
Keswick and Penrith and follow this road (5091) through
Dockray and continue to the A592, turn right and follow
to Glenridding, there is a car park on the right, before
the bridge. We will meet outside the Tourist Information
Centre, in the car park.
From Windermere / Ambleside
/ Grasmere, follow the A592 north from Windermere, this
road crosses the Kirkstone Pass and descends north to
Brotherswatter and Partterdale, continue on this road
to Glenridding, the car park will be found on the left,
just beyond the bridge. /We will meet outside the Tourist
Information Centre at 10AM.

Bus:
The 108 service runs between Penrith and Patterdale all
year, the 208 Keswick to Patterdale and 517, Bowness to
Glenridding bus services run during the summer months.
